Innovate Baltimore's February Networking Social

Please join us Wednesday, February 16th for Innovate Baltimore's first networking social of 2011.  Our December social at The Get Down was a great success, so we're going to be there again.  Like last time, admission is FREE and drinks will be half priced.  There is some street parking, but if you get there late, try the garages on Caroline St. 

We will kick off the new year by welcoming guest speakers Hussa and Hassa Blake, founders of Focal Point Global, to Baltimore’s Arts & Tech community. As a Maryland-based non-profit organization, Focal Point Global uses innovative technology to promote global collaboration and education between youths from different countries. One of its current projects is an HIV/AIDS education program that uses technology to connect youths in Africa and the United States. We hope you will help us welcome them to the Baltimore Arts & Tech community!

Innovate Baltimore is where creativity meets technology, and where people from all disciplines can find their niche in Baltimore’s growing technology industry. We hope to continue connecting attendees with employers and collaborators. If you are a local entrepreneur, you are bound to connect with potential employees, investors, developers, designers, and more.

About the Venue:  With an industrial design aesthetic that fuses technology, art and soul, The Get Down provides an open format event space unlike anything else in the region. With iconic furniture, custom designed and eco friendly decor elements, and a nearly 40' tall open space that provides unexpected views throughout the venue, finished with the ability to dynamically and dramatically change the room with the use of immersive color and media, The Get Down can be used as a subtle happy hour tavern, to a unique party for weekly club events and as a fully branded special events space.
